We are in this together.
Come & join the movement to Listen & Evaluate, Learn & Notice, Lead & Act.
Our students, families, and colleagues are counting on us.
They are counting on you.
I am an EL (ESL, ESOL, ML) teacher and I am finding my Teacher Voice right along with you.
I believe advocacy is at the heart of teaching and children are where our hearts belong.
So often in the classroom, in the hallway, in our relationships, someone might say to you,
“Use your teacher voice!”
But do you know how to use it?
Can you show others?
Do you know what to say?
We're here together to find out what our voices are.
Will you join me?
First and foremost, the show is for YOU, dear teacher and/or student. We are engaging with numerous individuals, groups, and voices involved in advocacy, such as EL students and families, administrators, policy advocates, researchers, university instructors, and of course current and past EL teachers, among other community and educational leaders.
The hope for all listeners is that they - we - can become braver, more confident, and better trained to advocate with and for our students as well as ourselves.
If you need more resources, we have them for you and they are connected to each of our episodes.
Get connected with the newest episodes and resources in teacher and student advocacy.
